Six Flags New England 2015 Opening Day Update
The long off season is finally over as the park opens for the 2015 season. This Six Flags New England 2015 opening day update shows off the many projects done for the new season.
We know that Six Flags New England had a lot of plans for the 2015 that involved more than just Wicked Cyclone. I’ll start of this report by saying that the harsh winter did hold up some of those project. I’m sure they will all get done before Memorial Day weekend. As you know, we have reported that SFTV (Six Flags in-park TV network) will be installed throughout the park, as well as new sound systems and a jumbotron screen on Rockville Theater. This is one project that hasn’t been done, but they have put back all the flat screens in Kidzopolis that were missing last year. So let’s get to some pictures of some of the changes in the park.
We went over to check out Wild Wheelz, which is Rt. 66 rethemed. The new cars are nice and comfortable, but they only sit two people and if both guests are on the larger side, it makes getting the seatbelt on tight. By the looks of it, it appears that there’ still lots of work to do on the ride
Here’s some of the theming that’s been placed so far:
This looks pretty cool:
I’m sure more stuff will be added soon. It will also look a lot better once the leaves have grown in.
With the removal of New England Skyway, the two support towers are the only thing left of the ride. They closed up the both stations and closed off the stairs to the Main Street station.
New games were also added to the North End:
The Slush Factory stand that was located near Bizarro’s entrance was moved up into the North End.
We all knew Pandemonium got a new coat of paint in the off season, but it wasn’t the only thing that got some attention:
The Flash Pass building has been repainted as well as the station for Catwoman’s Whip.
The transformation of Looney Tunes Commissary into Take Six Cafe is now complete with its new paint job and sign. They also made it the park’s third indoor restaurant, complete with A/C!
Goliath’s train still needs a lot of work before it opens for 2015. We have no idea what they’re doing to it. Hopefully it opens soon.
Mind Eraser received some new restraints. They’re the same style that were originally on the ride, just brand new. Not all of the seats have them yet.
