Phobia Phear Coaster is coming to Lake Compounce in 2016!
The first coaster to come to the Bristol, CT in fifteen years has been announced! Phobia Phear Coaster is coming to Lake Compounce in 2016!
Starting on July 1, Lake Compounce started posting phobias on their social media accounts. This coincided with a box that appeared near Enterprise in the park. It soon became clear that Lake Compounce was getting ready to announce a brand new coaster. Finally, on July 10, Lake Compounce revealed what was in the box – Phobia Phear Coaster.
Phobia Phear Coaster is a new Premier Rides launch coaster. To be more specific it is a Sky Rocket II model, which is a clone of Superman: Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Tempesto at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Phobia Phear Coaster will launch riders three times; forwards, backwards and then forwards again. In fact, this will be the first launch coaster in all of New England, something we are very excited about.

Phobia Phear Coaster is themed after different phobias. The design of the ride invokes the fear of speed, heights, enclosed spaces, and of course, the fear of roller coasters.

Phobia has a height requirement of 54″. It should also be noted that Phobia will be replacing Enterprise.
