Fright Fest at Six Flags New England!

Fright Fest has begun and is operating on weekends in Agawam, MA at Six Flags New England! This year for the 2019 Season of Fright Fest, Six Flags New England has added a ton of new stuff this year!

So what is Brand New for 2019? As we all know Graveyard Groove was retired and Hells Belles was added to the Rockville Theater as a brand new Show offering. Hells Belles has a great storyline with Demons with a woman wandering and coming upon this residence to come across some creatures of the night that are trying to take over the world, especially when the Woman accidentally reads a spell that opens the ability for these spirits to come forth! Singing with multiple popular songs to fit the storyline goes very well with the story. I personally highly enjoy this show and with multiple shows every day, you shouldn’t have trouble catching one of them as I feel it’s a not to miss the show during Fright Fest!

Midnight Uprising is a brand new show that takes place in front OF Goliath, It’s the same stage as The Awakening. This show has a bunch of monsters dancing in a show unlike we have seen on that stage! The dancers are doing a great job of keeping everybody entertained, as well as putting in work! This show has multiple showings a day and you should make sure to stop and enjoy during your Fright Fest evening!

A New Haunt for 2019 is called Nightmare! Its located in the spot that was formerly Forgotten laboratory! Personally, I feel this is currently the best Haunt in their line up for 2019!
There are other haunts such as Midnight Mansion, which has become a staple to Six Flags New England during Fright Fest. We also created and recorded a song that is all about the Haunt which you can also see below.

Other Haunts include Slasher Circus 3d. This is a 3D clown Haunt that was done very well with actors, themeing, while short in time to go through, it still is a must-do during Fright Fest! I enjoyed my Scareactor encounters and enjoyed myself!
There is also: The Aftermath: Zombies Revenge & Terror Tales. Both are located in the former Wicked Woods section and winds through the woods. The Aftermath has you walking through the devastation after a Zombie outbreak has taken over! IF you love Zombies, I am pretty sure you will enjoy this Haunt! Terror Tales, on the other hand, is taking all the fairytale stories we have all come to love since childhood has been twisted, turned upside down and brings terror to the minds of Children and Adults that wander through! Watch out for the Big Bad Wolf! You could be his next meal!
Now we venture into the SCAREZONES within the park. I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with SFNE Scarezones. Some of them are amazing and some are just an afterthought threw together or placed in areas that it shouldn’t be!
Tombstone Territory: This is located in Crack Axle Canyon Section of the park. IN years past it was beefed up with actors and props and has seemed to take a little bit of a backside! I feel this should be redone or ramped up.
Undead Alley: This was one of my favorite SCAREZONES a few years ago, but has since felt they are using less and less and Wish it would get back to its glory!
CARNEVIL: THis is located in Gotham City and honestly my favorite Scarezone in the park, it’s done very well, blends in with The Joker & Harley Quinn Spinsanity! Lots of Clowns, Clow Theme and the lighting is really great as well!
Demon District: THis is located over by SUPERMAN, this haunt has been evolving for years, changing places and over the last couple of years it has found its new home over by Superman The Ride! The scare zone is pretty awesome, but this location not so much, I think they should close off the stairs during Fright Fest and use the walkway that leads down to put the scare zone there and I think it would work better.
Slaughter Hollow is located on Main Street, right by the Carousel at the entrance! As you walk down and see these set pieces, they are done very well and at night with the lighting and actors, this area comes to life! This is another personal favorite of mine and enjoys the walk through it!
Overall I feel Six Flags New England ahs stepped up Fright Fest for 2019! There are always ways to improve, always ways to get better and it seems their new approach is working out pretty good! Iw as happy to see the strides the park has taken this year to bring us some new entertainment options, a new haunt and for the first time in a while I really found myself enjoying Fright Fest again! Also, they do have some new T-Shirts & Hoodies in the Gift Shop! Also, go to the link for more information on Fright Fest!
