Turnstile Tuesday – Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom at Six Flags Great Adventure
Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom at Six Flags Great Adventure is our Turnstile Tuesday featured ride this week. Manufactured by Intamin and sharing the same tower as the current world’s tallest roller coaster, Kingda Ka, Zumanjaro also holds the title as the world’s tallest drop ride.
Standing 415 feet (41-stories) tall you get awesome views of the park and a whole lot more when you get to the top. After a brief pause you are then dropped at up to 90 mph back down to the ground.
Instead of pics, this week we have an off-ride video of the Zumanjaro ride experience. It’s shot from the vantage point of looking up the tower inside of Kingda Ka’s circuit.
Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom Off-Ride Footage
Have you been on Zumanjaro? How do you think this Intamin Giant Drop 8 compares to other drop tower rides? Could you see the park expanding into the area between Ka and El Toro so that there’s more to do here instead of just a giant dead-end queue? How about making a whole new section that creates a loop with more rides going around El Toro and then down to Bizarro over time? What’s your thoughts/ideas?
Thanks to everyone who has liked and shared our Turnstile Tuesday posts so far. Also, don’t forget to message us if you’d like to share pics or video clips of your favorite rides for consideration in future posts. Please add to the discussion and leave your comments below!
