Turnstile Tuesday – Batman The Ride at Six Flags Great Adventure

Sticking with inverted coasters this week’s Turnstile Tuesday heads to Six Flags Great Adventure for a look at BATMAN The Ride.
In 1993 this Bolliger & Mabillard designed inverted coaster made its debut at Great Adventure. Just a year earlier the original version of the layout opened at Six Flags Great America. Due to its huge popularity over the next several years Six Flags added clones of the layout to multiple parks throughout the chain starting with the installation at SFGAdv.
Taller and longer inverted coaster layouts now exist from B&M and other manufacturers. However, almost three decades later, BATMAN The Ride which features five inversions, still provides a fun and intense ride. Throwing things in reverse a few years back a special train was made that allowed these coasters to run backwards through their layout. Dubbed as NAMTAB and promoted as a limited time experience this train was rotated to multiple parks in the chain including Great Adventure.
