Turnstile Tuesday – Goliath at Six Flags New England
The featured SFNE Online Turnstile Tuesday ride this week is Goliath at Six Flags New England.
This Vekoma Rides Manufacturing B.V. Giant Inverted Boomerang opened in 2012 at SFNE after being relocated from Six Flags Magic Mountain where it was original known as Déjà Vu.
Standing at 191FT tall Goliath’s bright green twin towers can’t be missed throughout the park. Whether you like, dislike or are to scared to have ridden Goliath there is no doubt that the front row is one of the most intense starts to a coaster you’ll find. Getting pulled up slowly and just hanging staring straight at the ground waiting to be dropped is not for the faint of heart.
Unfortunately through the years Goliath has also had a lot of issues and downtime. The park did install a new train made by Premier Rides but it never really lived up to the original as far as ride experience just adding to the things that have plagued this ride.
With the park sharing that Goliath will be closed for the 2021 season and it also not being shown on the new park map it would seem that the writing is on the wall. Have the last rides on Goliath at Six Flags New England already happened? Guess we’ll all find out soon.
