Ghost Town’s New Fugitive | Adirondack Outlaw

Adirondack Outlaw Debuts at The Great Escape

Yee-Haw! A new high-flying fugitive is on the loose at Six Flags The Great Escape & Hurricane Harbor in Lake George, New York. On July 8th, 2021 the park held Media Previews for the grand opening of their newest thrill ride, Adirondack Outlaw!
This towering new ride is the centerpiece of the largest update the Ghost Town section of TGE has seen in almost 20 years. Standing 16-stories tall, Adirondack Outlaw, spins riders in a large vertical circle both forwards and backwards at over 50 miles-per-hour while simultaneously swinging and flipping them head-over-heels. But, before we go any further….
Lasso Up & Let’s Go For a Spin!
Thanks to TGE, we were provided with some awesome drone shots and multiple angles of on-ride footage. If you have a few minutes please take a ride with us.

Here’s a Few Adirondack Outlaw Highlights:
- Spins riders head over heels and upwards of 165 feet through the sky
- Speeds over 50 miles per hour
- Eight riders are seated four across and back to back on each end for a total of sixteen thrill seekers
- Open-air experience, seats rotate 360° individually while the giant arm is simultaneously rotating 360°
- Offers spectacular views of the entire resort and the beautiful adjacent Adirondack’s.
- Located in the historic Ghost Town section next to the Steamin’ Demon

Wait, There’s Even More Ghost Town Updates?
It’s hard to believe I know but there are. Other updates to Ghost Town include renovations and new menu options at Charley’s Saloon, the addition of Coaster Candy Express to Windy Bill’s Western World and the Red Garter Corral now features a great mural photo spot which has a giant Adirondack Chair front and center. This space can also be used for special events and it provides a stylish entry way to both Steamin’ Demon and ADK Outlaw’s joint new queue entrances.

Final Thoughts?
Adirondack Outlaw easily answers #TheThrillIsCalling for The Great Escape. Represented by Ride Entertainment here in the US this Funtime Booster model literally towers over the park and can’t be missed. During our visit we heard several guests and even employees say that it is now the most thrilling ride at TGE. Fun fact, the Steamin’ Demon was my first ever looping coaster so on a personal note it’s also cool to see it get a new entrance as part of this Ghost Town update.
SFNE Online would like to thank our awesome host Jason and the entire Six Flags Great Escape Team for inviting us to attend the Media Preview. Some how the rain held off and we had a blast riding TGE’s latest and highest thrill ride, Adirondack Outlaw!
